Full course description
This course meets the requirements for the following APPEL competencies:
| 1. Learner will design learning that builds on the learner's background knowledge and supports students’ needs (LL.2). |
| 2. Learner will identify adaptations made to instruction to benefit learners of varied backgrounds (LL.4). |
| 3. Learner will include differentiated strategies aligned with lesson objectives to meet the unique needs of every student (IP.1). |
| 4. Learner will participate in meetings with student’s parents/guardians (e.g., IEP, 504, behavior, attendance, parent teacher conferences) to help assess and plan needed student support (LL.1). |
| 5. Learner will implement accommodations, modifications, services, and supports as outlined in a student's IEP or 504 plan (A.1). |
